A Bittersweet Day, A Labor of Love

I had a bittersweet day on Saturday. I had to pick up a beloved dog and take it to a rescue foster home. The day was bitter because I know the dog in question was much loved by her owner. I could tell by the quavering in her voice each time we talked about her.
